Missions

The Salem Missions Team announces a Calendar Collection for Urban Ministries...
Each month we will be collecting non perishable food products, Rice, gravy, canned vegetables, canned fruit, pop tarts, cereal, canned meat, etc. There is also a need for socks and underwear for all ages and sizes. During the colder months there is a need for new bed linens (sheets, pillowcases, and blankets). Of course, if you have any other items you may bring those. Peanut Butter & Jelly is always a needed item.
Fayetteville Urban Ministry...Support the urban ministries and the hungry by dropping any of these items in the white hamper across from the bulletin board in the office hall.
The United Methodist Men would like to remind everyone of their ongoing Helping hands ministry. Anyone in need of services in or around the house please contact Rad Rich at 483-0631, or the church office at 483-8959.
Tape Ministry...If
you know of anyone who would like to receive tape of our 11:00 Sunday
service please let Denise know in the church office or contact Clara Williford. Tapes are free and if a cassette player is needed one will be
provided for them. Tapes are usually delivered by Wednesday of each week.
Guardian Angel
Fund...are monies that are available to
help church members with short term financial emergencies. Monies
available vary to amount given to the fund.
Local Missions Fund...are monies given to help travelers or those in the community to limited emergency assistance. Monies available vary to amount given to the fund.
Prayer Chain
Ministry...if you have a prayer request
Monday through Friday, call Gloria Cole (323-3162) or the church office
(483-8959), or just click Prayer Request,
and the request will be passed on to our prayer partners on the Prayer Chain.
The next time you feel like God can't use you, just remember... Abraham was too old; Isaac was a daydreamer; Joseph was abused; Moses had a stuttering problem; Gideon was afraid; Jeremiah and Timothy were too young; Jonah ran from God; Job went bankrupt; the disciples fell asleep while praying; Martha worried about everything; Zaccheus was too small; Paul was too religious...and, Lazarus was dead!...so, no more excuses.
God can use you to serve him and others.
If there is a ministry interest (S.S., youth, stewardship, missions, Wednesday dinners, choirs, fellowship activities, visitation)...please see Rev. Bill Snotherly or Rev. Mary Frances McClure.
