Children
Jesus said, “Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them; for such belongs the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 19:14
We would like to welcome you and the youngest members of your family to Salem United Methodist Church! We are here to assist you by caring for your children beginning at birth. The nursery, as well as all other children's programs, are located in the Lower Level Education wing of our building. As you enter the church building from the Main parking lot, take an immediate left and go downstairs.
Our Nursery workers will greet you and your family and assist in getting your child settled. The Nursery will provide an electronic pager in case you are needed during services. Sunday nursery hours are from 9:30 a.m. until the conclusion of our 11:00 a.m. service. Be sure to alert the staff to any special needs that your child may have.
Sunday School classes are available for children of all ages. Dedicated teachers coordinate age-appropriate activities and projects which encourage participation with an emphasis on God’s love for all of His children.
Children in Worship Each Sunday, children ages 3 years and up are welcome to attend the worship service, participate in “Children's Time” and return to the Sunday School area with a coordinator to attend “Children's Church.” Fun activities and Bible stories await them.
