How Do I Dress?
There are some churches out there that won’t let you in the door if you don’t have a suit on. There are some churches out there that won’t let you in if you have a suit on. Salem is not such a place. You’ll see men in suits and women in nice dresses to be sure, but you’ll also find that there are people in blue jeans, polos, shorts, skirts, tennis shoes and sandals. We have made a conscious decision not to exclude anyone based upon the way they dress. We want you to come as you are and in a way that will make you feel relaxed and comfortable.
The only thing we ask of the people of Salem is that they dress modestly. We believe that the holy life is one that excludes the sexually promiscuous fashions that are prevalent throughout today’s culture and we feel that the church should be a “safe place” for everyone’s eyes and hearts.
