A Message From the Pastor :
John Wesley constantly preached about the practices of the means of God’s grace. A means of grace that our church has practiced every month in the past is the service of Holy Communion. With the pandemic continuing Salem has had to discontinue this practice. However, our church was able to purchase individual communion cups with individual bread and juice. These cups will only be
touched by me and handled with gloves. Therefore, I am going to offer you drive through Communion on Tuesday evenings from 6-7 p.m. You can drive up and I will greet you with a prayer and then offer you your individual communion cup. I ask that you not exit your vehicle as I will greet you through your car or truck window. This will only take a minute but will give us an opportunity to connect with each other. We will begin our drive through Communion on Tuesday, September 15 at 6 p.m. I look forward to seeing you and praying with you.
Grace and Peace

Join us for our Drive-in movies on September 18th at 7:00 pm. The movie will begin around 7:15 pm. We will be showing a family-friendly movie and giving you the opportunity to have some fun at the Drive-in. This is going to be a great event for the whole family. You can sit in your car with the windows up and listen or roll your windows down and listen in with our speakers. Please invite your friends, family, and neighbors to this event.

Mark Your calendars! Salem's Homecoming will be October 18th. We will be gathering at the Eastover Ballpark. More details to follow.

We have had a couple of instances of mail being removed from our mailbox which have been reported to the police.  While we feel this had been an isolated incidences, we have elected not to take any chances.  We have forwarded our mail to the Eastover Mail Depot.  This way we have assurance that any mail sent to or from the church will reach its destination.  Please note effective immediately to mail any correspondences to:

Still put the church name or parsonage name on the letter but change the address to the above.
Thank you for your help!

With great joy our church will offer Stephen Ministry to members of our congregation and members of our community.  These persons are ready to begin their care giving ministry.

If you are struggling and need someone who is filled with faith, compassionate, trustworthy and skilled, I hope you will consider asking for a Stephen Minister.  This person will care for you in a confidential manner.
The process for requesting a Stephen Minister is simple.  You may contact our Stephen Leader, Sara Piland, and she will begin the steps of assigning you a minister.

Please pray for our Stephen Ministry team.  They have answered the call to nurture the needy.

Salem’s food pantry offers a wonderful service to many in need in our community. As summer approaches, we find our demands on our pantry will increase. If you are able to donate any of the following items for our pantry needs we would greatly appreciate it. Spaghetti noodles and sauce, Ramen Noodles (Chicken or Beef), Hamburger Helper, Spaghetti O’s, Ravioli, Lasagna, Peanut Butter, Jelly, Mac & Cheese, Cans of Chicken or Tuna, Treet meat, Spam, Vienna Sausage, crackers, children’s juices, children’s apple sauce, jello, and any kind of can foods. Thank you for your continued support!
